Hey Friend,

I hope you are doing well! On my side, the past few weeks have been quite hectic πŸ˜„

After almost 5 years, I officially resigned from my position at Microsoft. Funny enough, I received quite a lot of messages asking where I was heading next!

Well, some of you may already know, but I decided to follow my own path. To build and create the content I want, and drive my own vision.

A lot of people see the talks, the content, the trainings, and the projects, but behind all of that there was a lot of sacrifice, doubts, exhaustion, and obsession to keep pushing forward. Now it is time to see how far I can take this!

I will be focusing on AI and Threat Intelligence tracking threats targeting AI systems and continue to create content and original research you can learn from. I am deeply passionate about what I am building and I wanted the opportunity to push it further. I honestly have no idea if it is going to work but I am going to put all my energy into this new venture.

Right after my last day, I jumped on a plane to Singapore for Black Hat Asia where I delivered my training and presented my open source AI threat intelligence ecosystem, NOVAHunting, at Arsenal (I also tasted durian again… still do not recommend πŸ˜‚).

Once again, my training ranked among the top trainings. I am super proud of it because it takes a lot of work to keep a deep technical AI training up to date.

You can check out the video below to get a glimpse of the atmosphere.

Black Hat Asia is smaller than the US edition, but honestly I like the more intimate vibe. You bump into people much more easily.

We also have upcoming sessions for the "Practical AI for Threat Intel" training:

Drop me a message if you want to learn more. You can also check out my website for additional details https://securitybreak.io/trainingΒ

I will also deliver the keynote at BSides Gold Coast next week: https://bsidesgoldie.com/schedule.html

And the keynote at Sleuthcon in Washington DC next month: https://www.sleuthcon.com/2026-keynote

If you are coming to one of them, feel free to say hi if you want to know more about what comes next for me, or if you just want to discuss AI and threat intelligence πŸ™‚

Anyway, thank you again to everyone supporting my work. Every message, repost, contribution, conversation, and opportunity genuinely means a lot to me. This journey has never been easy but I really feel we are entering a new era for cybersecurity and I want to help shape it the right way.

A lot more is coming soon πŸ‘€

Thomas ✌️
